The purpose of the Register is to reward Historic Companies that have been able to pass on their priceless heritage to subsequent generations of skills and knowledge, as well as the founding values of "doing business". The longevity of a company conveys its reputation and its long genealogy testifies to its reliability. From today the Ottaviani company is awarded the special brand “Historical Company of Italy” thanks to over one hundred years of activity in the precious metals sector; in fact Ottaviani began its business in precious metals in 1912 and then became an industry in 1945. The Ottaviani company, due to its tenacity, strength and ability to renew itself and adapt to the needs of different generations, can act as a model for younger entrepreneurial activities. Ottaviani as a historic company has in fact gone through economic crises, wars but also technological revolutions and changes of all kinds.
